Founded in 1987 as a software solutions provider in Northern India, SIG Systems' journey into IT rentals began when an acquaintance from the US needed a computer for a project and offered payment for its use. This unexpected payment for the usage of computer marked the start of a unique service in India, setting SIG on a path to become a pioneer in IT hardware rentals.
By the late 1990s, SIG identified the growing demand for IT rentals, pivoting to focus solely on this area. The Y2K boom fueled rapid growth, scaling the business tenfold.
The rise of call centers and BPOs brought immense demand for IT hardware. SIG scaled fourfold during this era, solidifying its position as a key provider of rental IT equipment.
Despite the 2008 crisis, SIG maintained client support and adapted to market challenges, showcasing resilience and commitment to its core services.
SIG broadened its offerings to include laptops, servers, and workstations, tapping into the mobile computing surge and expanding services to cities like Hyderabad and Mumbai.
